When selling your home, you should select a real estate agent who can expose your property to the largest market to ensure the fastest sale at the best possible price. Ask your prospective agent about the different ways they plan to market and advertise your home. Good agents should advertise your home using MLS, national and local promotion on the Internet, lawn signs, Real Estate Weekly newspaper advertising, Virtual Tours where appropriate and of course advertising through their own websites.

Price Your Home Realistically

Over-priced houses can take months or even years to sell, while properly priced homes usually sell in a matter of weeks or even days. When selecting a Realtor to sell your home, ensure that each Realtor you interview prepares a CMA( Comparative Market Analysis) showing "active" and recently "sold" listings in your neighbourhood. The average or median price will be very close to your home's true market value for a selling price.
